Hey pardner, i mean… Hey adventurer! It’s that time of the year again and the Blazing Buffaloes event returns to Vana’diel! Once again it’s up to you and the brave adventures to help the Moogles put these giant beasts into the corral.
The event will begin at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, and will end at the same hour on Tuesday, October 4. So dont miss the fun and the chance to get some unique furniture for your Mog House among other prizes.
Only once a year we have the chance to earn an Aldebaran Horn, if like me you love decorating your Mog House with exclusive items you cannot miss this opportunity!
If you entered the event in past years you know what to do, if you missed it or you are new to the game and it’s your first time here’s how to Participate:
During the event, herds of wild buffalo will be released into the areas listed below. Observe their patterns of behavior and skillfully lead them to the moogles stationed in the vicinity, and rich rewards await you! For detailed instructions, simply speak to the moogles at the following locations:

North Gustaberg (L-8) / South Gustaberg (L-8)
West Sarutabaruta (J-8) / East Sarutabaruta (G-11)
- Adventurers participating in Blazing Buffaloes will be restricted to level 75.
- While subject to this level restriction, you will be unable to attack or be attacked by monsters.
- The level restriction will expire upon logging out or changing areas.
~Yehaaaaw, i mean… kupo!
It is that time of the year and the Sunbreeze Festival returns to Vana’diel, if you are an avid Final Fantasy 11 player you know what this means! If not, let me introduce you to one of my favorite festivities in the game.
What would the Summer Breeze be without Fantastic Fraulein Mumor and her partner Uka performing for us in the adventurers of Vana’diel? Once again their performance is in danger and they will need to defeat the evildoers and prevail as the heroines we all love.
Fireworks, dancing stages and a lot of activities like in past years are to be expected including lots of mini games. All this is starting on August 2nd through to August 14th
This year new Yukata designs are available for our delight! If you missed the festival in previous years, a merchant will be selling Yukatas and costumes from previous events, it’s the perfect chance to complete your collection.
So if you are a Final Fantasy XI player or want to start playing, this is a good and fun time to do it. Be sure you don’t miss the Summer Breeze Festival and Fantastic Fraulein Mumor!

*The Scars of Abyssea content will become playable upon the release of the next FINAL FANTASY XI version update, currently scheduled for early September.
Now for my portion. I’ll start by saying I’m excited for the new add-on. Visions of Abyssea’s been quite a bit of fun, and the music has been absolutely fantastic. But I will say, after looking at the screens that are posted on the site… I’m a tad sad about something…
WHY?! Why dear lord… why SE?! WHY?! I hatehateHATE~(!) gears and chariots… Why put them in Abyssea? Do you hate me so?! I’ll be stuck on DRK for the rest of my life… stun… stun… stun… stun… @0@ Not that I hate DRK… but I like to be able to play other jobs as well… but enough of my moaning. I’m really looking forward to the next version update, I think it’s going to be loads of fun once again. Level cap going more than likely to 90 means subjob leveling, and just overall leveling again. Most people hate it, but I actually enjoy leveling. I wonder how irrelevant my equipment will become once again though. lol
With that I’ll wrap up. Thanks for reading, and ja ne~!
