Steam World Dig is a platform mining adventure you. take the role of Rusty, a lone mining steambot, as he arrives at an old mining town in great need, the game is similar to classics such as Dig Dug that works in the same vein as its predecessor, you progress through several areas upgrading your various parts as you progress through the game.

A mining town in the middle of nowhere is in need, here comes Rusty a lone mining steambot as he tries to rid the town of the known evils.

The Gameplay is a mining Rpg platformer with progressive stages as you mine through different portions of the game as you receive new items in aid of level progression, gameplay style is easy and fixed towards a younger audience but is built on nostalgic moments from games such as those from an atari platform.

Music is played throughout the game similar to the old west.

Graphics are in the same veign as games such as castle crashers that use flash animation for a more fluid style of gameplay.

– The game has 12 hours game time and can be completed easily.
– Two Player Co – Op is none existent in in game modes and cannot be manually selected you can only pick up a pad and jump in and out of the game whilst the first player takes the lead, second player is overridden when player one dies and is automatically kicked.
– Loading times are long and consistent.

Game rating:6 out of 10

– Very easy for non gamers to pick up from the get go
– Great graphics and flash animation.
