Definitely 9.5 out of 10!
Since 2005 Robot Chicken comedy has always been irreverent and crazy, season six brings us that and more, it proves the show has a lot to offer! With parodies of pop culture such as movies, TV series, toys and more, Robot Chicken respects no one, bringing that unique style that we love.
It’s noteworthy that these episodes are uncut editions unlike those we see on TV, which makes it more special to see them one after the other.
Some of the episodes i enjoyed the most is that Star Trek parody or Spielberg adding E.T. Tintin and other charaters into a war movie, or the Smurfs Hunger games parody, that was hilarious!
But that’s not all, we talk of Scooby Doo, Smurfs, Transformers, GIJOE and so many others, it would be impossible to keep this short if we tried to comment on them all, the amount of parodies is great, up to date and really entertaining.
As usual there is a nice amount of famous actors lending their voice in many episodes, such as Patrick Stewart, Kat Dennings, Stanley Tucci, Olivia Wilde, Sam Elliott, Ben Foster, Whoopi Goldberg, and many more. How they manage to bring the big names to the show i have no idea, but it’s a great pleasure to listen to all these guest stars on the different episodes.
There is a total of 20 episodes plus audio commentary for each one of them on one bluray disc, plus all the features mentioned in the extras down below, you truly get tons of value in this release.
The quality is top notch, watching this in HDTV is simply fantastic and enjoyable, great audio and video quality.
Packaging:
Slipcover featuring a giant robot chicken rampaging in the front, looking pretty stunning. Back cover features the city on fire and some comments related to the season and disc contents. The dvd case features the assassin from one of the Scooby-Doo parodies without any lettering in a black background, creepy but cool. The back contains an episode and extra features summary.
