Might and Delight, the guys behind the platformer Pid, present us a new project named Shelter. This is a new game that promises a different experience, you play as a badger taking care of your cubs in this nature inspired survival adventure. You must provide them with food, hunt for them, take care of wildlife hazards and predators..
The art in the game is something peculiar, which I’m sure would please many and some not so much. Personally, i’m loving the style of the art, not a realistic style but rather something cartonish, with light and pastel colors that are pleasing to the eye.
I loved the contrast of the game from day to night and the seasons change, adds a peculiar and unique feeling to the gameplay experience.
Nature sounds compliment the scenery quite well, the sounds of the trees as wind blows, rivers and wild life like birds or frogs. Not to mention some cool music performed by Retro Family (they provided the soundtrack for Pid and are most known for their video game covers).
This title was Greenlighted by the Steam community, if you want to know more Check out their page right HERE. With a very relaxed style in which you will enjoy the scenery, Shelter’s preview left me satisfied and wanting more. Game to be released for PC and MAC in August 2013.
